"Changing lives through God's love in Christ"
Who we are
"We are a welcoming community FIRST UNITED in
proclaiming FAITH in Jesus Christ,
sharing HOPE for the future, and
inspiring LOVE for our neighbors."
Our faith in Jesus Christ as Head of the Church, and the authority of Scripture, calls us to share the Good News through dynamic worship, intergenerational education, and community involvement.
We provide a community of faith which glorifies God through serving others, generosity, and fellowship.
God’s justifying grace calls us to be welcoming, compassionate, and caring of our neighbors and congregation.
What we offer
We offer weekly worship service at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Our services include prayer, hymns, contemporary music, scripture readings, and the sharing of God's word. We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome to take part in communion.
After worship each Sunday, we have coffee fellowship.
From September to May, we have Sunday School for all ages starting at 10:30 a.m. We also have an active Middle High and Senior High Youth program that meets Sunday evenings from September to May.
We are an active church with Ministries, a Board of Deacons, and numerous supporting committees. Whether you like to bake, cook, garden, DIY, work with children, volunteer, lead, decorate, sing, play an instrument, or more, we have opportunities to use the gifts that God gave you to serve our community. Check out our Church Calendar to see what is happening this week!
Handicapped parking is available near the Webster Street entrance. Listening devices and large print Bibles and Hymnals are also available.
Our church and staff are Purple Angel certified by the ARDC. We have created a Dementia Friendly Community where people can find their way around safely.
